REFRIGERATION RESEARCH HISTORIC MUSEUM
PURPOSE:
May a review of the past provide direction for the future
To permanently preserve historic refrigeration and air conditioning items such as equipment, systems, components, technical information, books, catalogs, papers and profiles in order to trace, as accurately as possible, development of refrigeration and air conditioning from the beginning.
History points out separate but similar instances where managements have made hasty decisions which have resulted in disaster.
History also documents that certain designs of refrigeration systems showed characteristic problems over time, while others excelled, thereby pointing the way for improvement.
Uniquely, and unlike most museums our policy is to have a high percentage of these historic systems actually operating in our museum. Tours available by appointment.
